Voter Registration
- You are a new Wisconsin voter.
- You have changed your name since you last registered to vote.
- Your residential address has changed since you last registered to vote.
- You have not voted in the past four (4) years.
If you are uncertain of your voter registration name, address or status, you can go to MyVote Wisconsin and look up your voter record.
Deactivation Requests
Have you moved out of state? Do you need to report a death? In order to be removed from the voter rolls, you need to submit your request in writing and include your name, registration address, date of birth, and the reason for deactivation. Requests should be submitted to:

Registration Prior to Election Day
- In Person - You may come to the Clerk's Office Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. You will need to bring proof of residence with you. You may download the Voter Registration Application and bring it with you or you may complete the form in the Clerk's Office.
- By mail/drop-box - You may download and print the Voter Registration Application. Once you complete the application, return it along with your proof of residence document to City Hall. Registrations by mail/drop-box must be postmarked prior to the close of registration date for each election. You may mail the forms or place them in the dropbox at:

Glendale, WI 53209 - Online - If you have a Wisconsin drivers license or Wisconsin state identification card, you may register to vote online and do not need to mail in any additional documentation. Registering to vote online is a two-step process:
- First, your information must be current with the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV). If you have not updated your address with the DMV, you must first do so for free on the DMV's website. Name changes cannot be completed online with the DMV; you must go to a DMV office in order to complete the name change.
- Second, once your address and name are up-to-date with the DMV, go to MyVote in order to update your voter registration. Your voter registration information is not updated until you to to MyVote and complete the registration process.
Registration on Election Day
On Election Day, you may register and vote at your polling location. Any person registering to vote and voting on Election Day must have lived at their current address for at least 28 days prior to the election with no present intent to move, and must provide an acceptable proof of residence document. Registration Deadlines
- Mailed registrations must be postmarked no later than 20 days (3rd Wednesday) before Election Day.
- Registrations in the Clerk's Office must be submitted by the voter no later than 5 p.m. on the Friday before Election Day.
- Election Day Registrations must happen at the polls between the hours of 7 a.m. and 8 p.m.
Acceptable Proof of Residence Documents
- A current and valid Wisconsin driver's license / ID card
- Any other official identification card or license issued by a Wisconsin governmental body or unit
- Any identification card issued by an employer in the normal course of business and bearing a photo of the card holder, but not including a business card
- A real estate tax bill or receipt for the current year or the year preceding the date of the election
- A residential lease which is effective for a period that includes the registration date (cannot be used when registering by mail)
- A utility bill (gas, electric, telephone/internet) for the period commencing not earlier than 90 days before the day registration is made
- A bank, credit card, or other account statement issued by any financial institution
- A paycheck
- A check or other document or official correspondence issued by a unit of government (this includes official mail from a public high school or state college or university)
- A university, college, or technical college identification card (must include photo) ONLY if the voter provides a fee receipt dated within the last 9 months or the institution provides a certified housing list to the municipal clerk
**Please note: You may redact private information such as account balances or transactions on your proof of residence document. However, the last four (4) digits of your account number (if applicable), name and address must remain visible.
