Organizational Chart of Divisions

The Field Services Bureau consists of the Patrol Division and the Criminal Investigation Division. Additionally, this bureau is responsible for officer and auxiliary training, citizen complaints and internal affairs.

The Patrol Division consists of three patrol shifts and is responsible for the following functions: 
 
  • Call taking
  • Report writing
  • Accident investigation
  • Traffic enforcement
  • Parking enforcement
  • Statute and ordinance enforcement
  • Traffic Control
  • Permit and license enforcement
  • Criminal Investigations
  • Patrol

The Criminal Investigation Division is responsible for the investigation of cases referred to it by the patrol division or other bureaus or agencies and includes the following functions: 

Detective Bureau

  • Complaint follow-up
  • Evidence processing
  • Identification
  • Major occurrences
  • Electronic crimes

Vice/Narcotics Unit

  • Hotel interdictions
  • Metro/HIDTA Drug liaison
  • Undercover operations
