AVAILABLE City of Glendale Ordinance provides that any bicycle ridden on the street is to be licensed. Licenses are available at the Glendale Police Department and sell for a fee of $10.00. This license is PERMANENT. The Public Works Department reminds residents NOT to rake leaves or yard waste to the curb in the Spring. Yard waste and leaves will be collected as part of the Brush and Yard Waste Program offered by Veolia Environmental Services. Please refer to the article on page 2 regarding Brush and Yard Waste.
Employee ID Badges All City of Glendale employees are issued identification badges with their name, photo and the official City logo. Be sure to verify an employee's identity before allowing access to your home. The Glendale Police Department, together with the North Shore Crime Prevention & Fire Prevention Officers, invites you to participate in the 28th annual Bayshore Safety Day. This annual educational event will be held in the Town Square of the Bayshore Town Center on SATURDAY, MAY 30, 2009 from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00p.m. All aspects of public safety will be represented - law enforcement, fire protective services, emergency government, family service agencies, civic organizations, as well as many corporations and businesses from the private sector. |
The City of Glendale reminds residents that State of Wisconsin Statute Section 66.0407 and City of Glendale Ordinance Section 8-1-6, require property owners to destroy all noxious weeds on their property. Some of the more common noxious weeds include thistle, poison ivy, burdock and ragweed. If you have questions, please call the Public Works Director at 228-1746. Applications for 2009 City of Glendale overnight parking permits are now available. These applications may be picked up at either of the following locations: 5909 North Milwaukee River Parkway Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. GLENDALE POLICE DEPARTMENT 5909 North Milwaukee River Parkway Hours: 24 hours per day, 7 days per week Applications are also available on the City's website, which is www.glendale-wi.org (under Forms and Applications). Applications may be dropped off or mailed to the Treasurer's Office in City Hall at 5909 North Milwaukee River Parkway, Glendale, Wisconsin 53209. Each permit issued requires an application. If you have two cars that you wish to park on the street, you must fill out two permit applications. An annual fee of $20.00 will be charged for each permit which must accompany the application. These permits must be affixed by their own adhesive to the inside of a window on the driver's side of the vehicle. The permits are valid from April 1, 2009 through November 30, 2009. |
