Precious Metals Licenses/Permits


No precious metal or gem dealer, as defined in Section 7, Chapter 10, Glendale Ordinances, shall engage in the business, either permanently or temporarily, of dealing in, selling or exchanging coins, bullion and any article containing gold, silver, copper, brass, lead, or any other metal having a market value equal to or greater than brass, or precious or semi-precious stones without first having obtained a license or permit.

Print or type in ink. Provide a complete answer for each question. Must be signed in the presence of a notary public. Applicant's fingerprints will be taken by the Glendale Police Department.

Fees:

$200.00 Annual License Fee
$ 50.00 Permit Fee Per Application

Additional Fee: $5.00 background investigation report for each person named on application.

Late Penalty: A double fee will be assessed on all delinquent applications.

Duration:

The term of a license shall be one (1) year from the date of granting thereof.
The term of a permit shall be for up to five (5) days.
