Refuse Collection

Per City of Glendale Ordinance Section 8-3-6, all garbage shall be placed at the curbside collection point only after 4:00 p.m. on the evening prior to the regular collection time, and then all refuse containers must be removed from the curbside collection point within twenty-four (24) hours after the regular collection time.

When is garbage collected?

Advanced Disposal Services (the City's refuse collector) collects trash weekly. Refer to the Recycling Map for your weekly trash collection day.

Does the City provide refuse containers?

No. Residents must provide their own garbage containers with a tight fitting lid.

During Snow Season

Residents should place garbage cans at a safe distance up the driveway during the snow season so the cans are not hit by snowplows or snowload from the plows during plowing operations. Any garbage cans that are placed in the road may be hit and it will be the responsibility of the homeowner to replace if damaged.

Appliance Pick-Up

Please call Advanced Disposal Services at (262) 679-0860 to arrange for pick-up of any appliances. There is no extra charge unless the appliance contains freon. The cost is $30.00 for the following appliances: refrigerator, freezer, air conditioner, dehumidifier and microwave (recovery process required for microwave because of mercury in the thermostat).
