About Glendale

Welcome to the City of Glendale, one of Wisconsin's premier communities! Glendale is a dynamic community that maintains its own identity just four miles from the City of Milwaukee. It is a city with a rich history, excellent schools, fascinating architecture, quality healthcare and a variety of recreation opportunities.

Glendale has experienced exceptional growth and development since its official incorporation as a city in 1950. Local leaders have encouraged controlled industrial expansion and commercial development along with high quality residential development. Today it is recognized as one of the most progressive of the northeast Milwaukee suburbs.

Glendale boasts one of the finest school systems in the nation, led by highly rated Nicolet High School, which serves three other North Shore communities as well. In combination with its fine Glendale-River Hills K-4 through 8th grade school system, and Cardinal Stritch University, Glendale arguably leads the North Shore in quality educational opportunities.

Two beautiful, large and well-maintained Milwaukee County Parks within the City limits, as well as the meandering Milwaukee River, give Glendale a natural landscape that is a treat to its citizens and visitors, old and young alike.

Glendale has a current population of approximately 13,000 who invite you to see why it is a great place to live, work and raise a family!
